Miles Stew Fest February 4th, 2018FROM SLACK to SHORT GO the 86th San Angelo Rodeo is one of the richest rodeo competitions on the PRCA Circuit. Which means the very BEST Rodeo performers and competitors in the world will be in San Angelo for ten PRCA Performances Friday, February 2nd through Thursday, February 15th. Get your tickets early, they're selling fast.
This year's San Angelo Stock Show features over 40 different livestock shows and competitions, varying from Agriculture Mechanics projects, to swine, cattle, sheep and goat projects, and on to Robotics, and even llamas. Support your Local, Texas, and National 4-H and FFA participants as they will be showing their very finest in this traditional Rural Ag 'family-friendly' competition. Also, be sure and don't miss the Premium Sale on February 17th.

Miles Stew Fest February 4th, 2018The annual Ballinger Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2018 at 6:30PM at Ballinger's Carnegie Library. Event tickets are just $15.00 each, with tables of 8 for just $200.00. Meal by Beefmaster Steakhouse. Dress attire is business casual. Presentation of outgoing directors, incoming directors, and Citizen of the Year will be named; as well as Business of the Year and Junior Chamber Citizen of the Year. Nominations for Citizen of the Year are currently being sought. Contact the Chamber Office at 700 Railroad Drive in Ballinger for more details. All nominations should be received no later than Friday, February 9, 2018 at 5:00PM.

Spend an Evening with Medal of Honor Recepient
Sgt. Allen James Lynch, U.S. Army (Ret.).

On 15 December 1967, near My An, Binh Dinh Provence, Vietnam, (then Spc4) Lynch, at the risk of his life, rescued three wounded soldiers from their exposed positions, and carry the wounded men to safety. He then stayed behind to protect them when the rest of his company withdrew. He single-handedly defended the wounded men against additional attack by a determined superior number of enemy until locating a friendly force which could evacuate them.
